Thank You!

Thank you everyone for your prayers! Our little man is back up and running! Zachary is feeling so much better today, he is chug-a-luggin' all kinds of fluids, and keeping them down. He even made a special request for sponge bob macaroni! Thank you again for all your prayers!

Uganda Video

To the right we've posted a video of where we will be in Uganda. The man in the video is Jonathon Mayo, who is our field director and mentor. The others in the video are some missionaries we will be ministering with in Kampala. It's a great video, and a vision for Uganda we are proud to be a part of!

Zachary!

Please pray for our "little Man", he is very under the weather. Zach has been sick for three days now and running a very high fever. He is spending his days on the couch and unable to eat or drink very much. The pediatrician said he has croup, which he has had before, but never this bad! His Papaw May made him a little prayer cloth that he is wearing pinned to his shirt. Please pray he will wake up in the morning, fever gone, cough gone and ready to take on the day!

For Sale!

Well, we've prayed about it and we are selling our home! We are hoping to find a home to rent a little smaller so we can save some money to pay things off before we leave for Uganda. Our house will be on the "market" for a little over 90 days. We ask that you will be with us in prayer that we will do what God will have us do. If it is His will for us to sell our home, God will open the doors to the perfect rental home for our family in our price range to help us meet our financial needs before we head to Africa. We are very excited and feel this is our first step in fulfilling God's will in our lives! As you know the market for buying/selling homes right now is very poor. In our small neighborhood alone, there are 2 foreclosures, 2 lease to own options, and one rental. But as His word says: But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 His word also says: And everyone that has forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my name's sake shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. Matthew 20:29. Thank you for your prayers!

WGM Prayer Requests

We get a few special prayer requests sometimes from World Gospel Mission and we got one a couple days ago asking us to pray for this family of missionaries that are serving in Bolivia. This is the email we received from them today. Please continue to pray for this family. They have an amazing faith in our Lord.

"Our beautiful blond Baby Marian Barbara is nestled in the arms of Jesus this morning. She went to be with Him while Mommy was still in labor last night. Both sets of grandparents, the pastors, and Marian’s family got to hold her. She looked so pretty in the little dress and bonnet her Mommy had made for her. She was 3 lbs. 4 oz. and 14 inches long. Ron said they’ve seen the hand of the Lord through the entire process!

Let’s thank the Lord for answering our prayers. Yesterday, when the doctor began the procedure to manipulate the baby out of the breech position, he stopped, called for a sonogram, and found Baby Marian already in perfect position. A direct answer to our prayers! He protected Ruth through labor which was induced yesterday at 3 PM and ended at 9:38 PM. He brought honor to His name through Thad and Ruth’s faithfulness and dedication to live out what they believe. He continues to bring honor to Himself as we rejoice at the testimony of the sense of His presence throughout these past months. He is God and His ways our perfect even though we do not always understand them."

Continue to pray for all the family as they continue to walk through these difficult days.

Hello everyone. Just a couple of prayer requests that we had: Wanda will be going for a CAT scan on Friday to rule out a tumor that the Doctors feel my be behind her eyes. This may be the reason for her frequent eye infections and decreased vision. We all gathered with her Easter (my family and David) and had prayer with her. We are looking to hear a good report. Wanda is very claustrophobic and has never liked these tests. The nurse also called me today and said she is running a low grade temperature and we need to keep an eye on her that she does not develop pneumonia. My dad will also be going in for a procedure mid April where he will need to be put to sleep again and reevaluated. We are praying he is healed as well. We know God can make every situation a positive one and we will be excited to share the healing power of Christ when these doctors come back with the good reports wondering who preformed these miracle healings!
Come to me, and rest in my loving Presence. You know that this day will bring difficulties, and you are trying to think your way through those trials. As you anticipate what is ahead of you, you forget that I am with you, now and always. Rehearsing your troubles results in experiencing them many times, where as you are meant to go through them only when they actually occur. Do not multiply your suffering in theis way! Instead, come to Me, and relax in My Peace. I will strengthen you and prepare you for this day transforming your feaar into confident trust.

This is a time in your life when you must learn to let go: of loved ones, of possessions, of control. In order to let go of something that is precious to you, you need to rest in My Presence, where you are complete. Take time to bask in the Light of My Love. As you relax more and more, your grasping hand gradually opens up, releasing your prized possession into My care.
You can feel secure, even in the midst of cataclysmic change, through awareness of My continual Presence. The One who never leaves you is the same One who never changes: I am the same yesterday, today, and forever. As you release more and more things into My care, remember that I never let go of your hand. Herein lies your security, which no one and no circumstance can take from you.
