Hello everyone. Just a couple of prayer requests that we had: Wanda will be going for a CAT scan on Friday to rule out a tumor that the Doctors feel my be behind her eyes. This may be the reason for her frequent eye infections and decreased vision. We all gathered with her Easter (my family and David) and had prayer with her. We are looking to hear a good report. Wanda is very claustrophobic and has never liked these tests. The nurse also called me today and said she is running a low grade temperature and we need to keep an eye on her that she does not develop pneumonia. My dad will also be going in for a procedure mid April where he will need to be put to sleep again and reevaluated. We are praying he is healed as well. We know God can make every situation a positive one and we will be excited to share the healing power of Christ when these doctors come back with the good reports wondering who preformed these miracle healings!
Come to me, and rest in my loving Presence. You know that this day will bring difficulties, and you are trying to think your way through those trials. As you anticipate what is ahead of you, you forget that I am with you, now and always. Rehearsing your troubles results in experiencing them many times, where as you are meant to go through them only when they actually occur. Do not multiply your suffering in theis way! Instead, come to Me, and relax in My Peace. I will strengthen you and prepare you for this day transforming your feaar into confident trust.

This is a time in your life when you must learn to let go: of loved ones, of possessions, of control. In order to let go of something that is precious to you, you need to rest in My Presence, where you are complete. Take time to bask in the Light of My Love. As you relax more and more, your grasping hand gradually opens up, releasing your prized possession into My care.
You can feel secure, even in the midst of cataclysmic change, through awareness of My continual Presence. The One who never leaves you is the same One who never changes: I am the same yesterday, today, and forever. As you release more and more things into My care, remember that I never let go of your hand. Herein lies your security, which no one and no circumstance can take from you.

I am a God of both intricate detail and overflowing abundance. When you entrust the details of your life to Me, you are surprised by how thoroughly I answer your petitions. Egg huntin' with mamaw!





The boys had fun on Saturday with Mamaw at her center. They hunted candy filled Easter eggs, played with the Easter bunny, then got to enjoy punch with Meemaw and Peepaw who made a suprize visit also. Please continue to keep Wanda in your prayers. God Bless to all and have a joyus Easter!

Uganda, Here We Come!


We are so excited and proud to announce that World Gospel Mission has approved us for missionary work in Uganda. Josh and I will be serving as youth leaders at the African Gospel Church and I will also be helping with community nursing. We thank you so much for your support and prayers. We will be starting our education and Bible training at this time and will travel back to Indiana in July (to WGM's headquarters) for further training and this will be the start of our fund raising.
After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. Go He told them, The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Luke 10:1-2

The Blizzard of 08'


Well, at least that's what everyone is calling it here in Ohio! Would you believe it the day before we are to leave for Indiana the storm hit. We debated, debated, prayed and prayed and it seems it was too risky to put our boys on the dangerous roads and drive the 4 hours to Indiana. We were crushed. This means our Candidate Review Weekend with World Gospel Mission would be put off until July! Saturday night we were contacted by our representative there and she informed us they would put plans on hold for us and not begin until Sunday at 3pm. We felt God was clearing a way for us, we knew we needed to be there, and so that is what we did! At the last minute, Sunday morning at 5am as the boys snugly slept in their warm beds, we repacked, loaded the van, woke them up and took off! God of course cleared our way, we made it to Indiana in record time, passed over 20 other fellow travelers in ditches along the road, making sure their O.K. and praying the whole way, we finally made it! And we had so much fun. It was so nice to finally meet the people we have been e-mailing and speaking with on the phone for the last few months. World Gospel Mission was so amazing! We got to meet 2 other couples that were applying to go to Africa as well. One couple had been on a field visit to Uganda for just a couple of weeks, came home and knew God wanted to move their entire family there! It was such a blessing to hear everyones testimonies and watch God move in so many ways! We had our final interview before the committee this morning and made our way back home to Ohio, and again God cleared the roads for us! So now we wait. We are just praying World Gospel Mission (WGM) will be willing to use us as missionaries to serve in their organization in taking the gospel into Africa. They are leaning toward Uganda and this is the area we have been praying for as well! So we know God's perfect will is going to take over and make all final decisions. So we would greatly appreciate your prayers that His will is done and we will be willing to accept :) If you are fairly new to the world of blog's (like we are) I highly recommend you check out some of the other missionaries blog pages. They were not disappointed at all about not making in to Indiana on Saturday, they were only concentrating on having fun!

Hello Everyone!


Yes! We are finally answering the call God placed on our lives years ago to become missionaries. We started this blog page for family, friends, and future supporters. This weekend is our big candidate review weekend with World Gospel Mission. This is the organization we are hoping to serve through in Africa or Arizona. We would appreciate your prayers for our safety and the safety of all the other missionaries that will be traveling to Indiana for this review weekend. We want to give God praise for a few specific things going on right now. The good news about our grandpa's procedure he had today and being cancer free, for the good reports from the physicians about my dad's health (and we are already thanking God for his next procedure in April) and the safe return of my mom and sister from Arizona. We give God praise for His blessings everyday, He has given so much. Please continue to pray for Josh's mom and dad as she daily struggles emotionally with her disease. She is such an amazing trooper!
